Country music artist and Southeast Texas-native Mark Chesnutt will kick off the summer with show right across the Sabine River.
Chesnutt will perform inside the Grand Event Center of the Golden Nugget Casino in Lake Charles, La., on Friday, June 21, 2024. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m., Friday, March 22, at the casino box office and online at www.axs.com. This show is for ages 21 and older only.
Chesnutt released his debut album, “Too Cold at Home,” in September 1990, which peaked at No. 132 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart. However, the record sold more than one million copies and achieved platinum status, while featuring five Top 10 singles in songs “Too Cold at Home,” “Brother Jukebox,” “Blame it on Texas,” “Your Love is a Miracle,” and “Broken Promise Land.”
He is also known for other hit songs such as “I’ll Think of Something,” “Bubba Shot the Jukebox,” “It Sure is Monday,” “It’s a Little Too Late” and many more.
The Beaumont, Texas singer-songwriter was hospitalized on Nov. 1, 2023 for an unspecified medical issued, which forced him to cancel two dates at the time. He has since returned to performing and looks to have a busy schedule in 2024.
