Megadeth drops surprise tour dates; Houston date set


Heavy metal music group Megadeth is hitting the road this summer for a 33-city U.S. tour.


Megadeth is hitting the road for the “Destroy All Enemies” tour, which begins on Friday, Aug. 2 in Rogers, Arkansas, and concludes on Sept. 28 in Nashville, Tenn. Joining Megadeth on the tour is Mudvayne and All That Remains.


Megadeth will perform at the 713 Music Hall in Houston on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m., Friday, April 26 at for all ages.


Megadeth, featurig vocalist and guitarist Dave Mustaine and his bandmates, is touring in support of its September 2022 release, “The Sick, The Dying…and The Dead,” which is the band’s 16th studio album. The record peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart and features the singles “We’ll Be Back,” “Night Stalkers” and “Soldier On.”


The band has sold more than 50 million records and is best known for its live show and songs that helped defined the thrash metal genre, such as “Peace Sells,” “In My Darkest Hour,” “Holy Wars….The Punishment Due,” “Hangar 18,” Train of Consequences,” “Trust” and more.
