Nothing is over until Metallica says it is over.
On Thursday (Sept. 19), heavy metal titans Metallica unveiled its plans for a third leg of tour dates in support of its 2023 release, “72 Seasons.” The band began the M72 World Tour in the summer of 2023 by performing in select cities across the U.S. on what was billed as a “No Repeat Weekend.” Metallica would play two shows, one on Friday and another on Sunday, with two different opening acts each night and two completely different setlists, ensuring no song would be repeated.
The second leg of the U.S. tour just finished in Seattle earlier this month, although the band still has Mexico City, Mexico on its schedule.
The third leg of the M72 World Tour will feature seven “No Repeat Weekend” events and seven “One Night Only” performances. The tour begins on April 12 in Las Vegas and other single night events include Syracuse, NY; Blacksburg, VA; Landover, MD; Charlotte, NC; Atlanta, GA; and Houston, Texas, which will be on Saturday, June 14 at NRG Stadium.
The two night cities include a Canadian stop in Toronto, Ontario, on April 24 and April 26. Other cities are Nashville, Tenn; Columbus, Ohio; Philadephia, PA; Tampa, FL; Santa Clara, CA; and Denver, CO.
Special guests include Limp Bizkit and Ice Nine Kills on select dates, while Pantera returns to be joined by Suicidal Tendencies.
Tickets for all shows go on sale publicly at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 27. There are numerous presale and enhanced package offers available at www.metallica.com for those seeking a closer experience with the band.
